Wrap it up, wrap it in, let me begin by telling you I wish I had known about this place a long time ago.
Once upon a time, this was a Pita Pit. And I love Pita Pit. I have many good college memories of late night Pita Pit outings, so it will always maintain a special place in my heart. When I saw that the space had converted from a Pita Pit to a Wrap it Up, I was under the impression that it was still Pita Pit, but maybe they had gone on a solo venture. I imagined that all of the pitas had slightly different names, and maybe they had considered changing the name to “Bread Hole”.
Nope, I had it all wrong. After a friend posted a falafel picture on Facebook, I had to come try it out. I was overwhelmed by the menu choices – everything looked delicious. The man working behind the counter said that they were best known for their chicken, and offered me a sample. I was hooked. Said man later told me that he’s never lost a customer after offering them a sample of their chicken.
I ended up getting the chicken plate, which had salad, hummus, pita bread, rice, and some other goodies. It was a large plate for about $10, and I admit I kept eating after I was already full. This is probably my new favorite Middle Eastern food place in Reno. The only downside (for me) was the lack of Coke products.
All of my co-workers enjoyed this new find. It was a complete success.
